Last week was the beginning of my second year with the online program at the AAU. Hoping for another good year and some more improvements. Last year helped me get acquainted with the charcoal medium as well as beginner's figure drawing and perspective. This year I'm doing more figure drawing, intro to anatomy, and some history. Things are busier than usual so I'm not sure how much personal work I'll be able to do but I will be uploading the school work that I think either looks good enough to be up here or that helps show my growth and progress.

With school starting back soon it seems that my Muse has also decided to return. I've recently been reading lots of classic novels and plan to pick and choose characters or scenes to start illustrating whenever I have the time between school projects. Also started looking at forums on Conceptart.org and Feng Zhu's videos on Youtube in order to get a little more variety in my ideas. Hopefully this time She (my Muse) won't flutter off right as I'm feeling more confident and proud of my work.

Well I was doing good there for a while submitting work but it seems I've hit a slump. Haven't really turned out pieces worth adding up here lately. What I really need to do is start coming up with my own OCs. Since most of the work I've been doing is either figure drawings or perspective work I haven't really gotten a lot of practice in character design. My anatomy is still on the amateur side but I think I'm far enough along to where I can at least start thinking of designing my own characters.
